The Story Behind Velotrain®

Velotrain® Accessible Cycling was created by founders Paul and Allison Moore — a husband-and-wife team with a shared mission to improve the lives of people living with disabilities through innovative assistive technologies.

With a successful track record running Active Linx Ltd, Paul and Allison turned their attention to developing a new range of accessible cycling products that would have an immediate, meaningful impact on individuals looking to stay active, independent, and healthy.

As an active wheelchair user for over four decades following a spinal cord injury, Paul understands the vital role that fitness plays in long-term health and wellbeing. His personal experience, combined with his professional background in assistive technologies, was the driving force behind the design and development of the Velotrain® Accessible Rollers.

Velotrain® believes in meeting individuals where they are and supporting them in their journey toward improved mobility and active living. Adapted cycling products are not a one-size-fits-all solution — it’s about finding the best solution for each person.

Today, Velotrain® is committed to delivering practical, effective solutions — with experienced support and ongoing guidance. By working closely with expert engineers and clinicians, we continue to lead in inclusive design and accessible cycling innovations.

Research & Development

At Velotrain®, we believe everyone should have access to technology that supports a healthy, independent, and fulfilling life. But the world isn’t always designed to meet everyone’s needs. Through our experience in assistive technology and exercise equipment, we aim to create easy-to-use, accessible products that support wellbeing for a more diverse range of users.

Our in-house design and prototyping capability, combined with regular input from active user groups, ensures every product is refined around real needs. The Velotrain® Accessible Rollers were developed in direct response to mainstream equipment being unsuitable for adapted cycles — offering a simple, portable solution for independent cycling exercise.

Designed in the UK. Built for Life.

We work closely with UK manufacturers to ensure each set of Rollers is built to order with care, quality, and real user input. Producing locally also helps reduce carbon emissions from overseas transport — and whilst using high quality parts and skilled suppliers does increase production costs, it allows us to maintain high ethical and manufacturing standards.

Velotrain® Accessible Rollers are designed and built to last, and with proper care and use, they’ll provide years of reliable performance. All products are covered by our 12-month manufacturer’s warranty*, and we’re always happy to repair or replace defective parts, if applicable.
